• Output the first few lines of a file:

head {{[-n|--lines]}} {{count}} {{path/to/file}}

• Output the first few bytes of a file:

head {{[-c|--bytes]}} {{count}} {{path/to/file}}

• Output everything but the last few lines of a file:

head {{[-n|--lines]}} -{{count}} {{path/to/file}}

• Output everything but the last few bytes of a file:
